Neo Pop Picnic is hosted each week by 2 of Sydney’s most creative firecrackers. Elegant, eccentric and unexpected!
Brendan de la Hay and Lou P Scarlett bring Darling Square to life with their unique blend of interactive performance, wearable art, song and dance.

Join us every Sunday in May for a celebration of all things 1980’s. 16 artists performing across the precinct, roving musicians and Pop Up stages at every corner. You’ll find Quirky Characters, Roller Skaters, Hula Hoops and Stilt Walkers. So much fun you’ll want to come every week!

Gourmet Food
You’ll find a myriad of retail and dining experiences to satisfy every craving at Darling Square. Small bites, big plates desserts or burgers, you’ll find whatever you desire in this always delicious, flavour filled precinct.

Photo Booth
Get Snap Happy in The Square as you strike a pose in our kitsch and colourful photo booth designed by performance artist, designer and creative director our beloved Brendan de La Hay.

Art Pop Ups
Across the precinct you’ll see fun 1980’s inspired Pop Up art installations. These striking creations will bring a whole lot of quirky colourful fun to Darling Square. Can you find them all?

Sing A Long In The Square
Join local piano legend Anton Kortitni and featured Neo Pop artists on an all in 1980’s Sing- a- long in the square. Clap your hands, tap those toes and join in for a sing on some of your favourite 80’s tunes.

The Hi-Life Horns
The Hi-Life horns are larger than life. This band of wandering minstrels weave their stilt walking magic whilst providing a soundtrack of Pop, Blues, Jazz and Funk.

Bubbly, vivacious and uber talented. Every week you will be amazed by our roving circus performers skates, hoops and plenty of tricks you’ll find them popping up all across the Square.
